On-the-Job Training Experience

On the Job training – training given to employees in the workplace as they perform everyday work activities. On-the-job training is based on the principle of learning by doing and includes demonstration and explanation by a more experienced employee, supervisor, or manager; performance of tasks under supervision; and the provision of appropriate feedback.

Having an On the job training program will help the students to be equiped with the knowledge on how to search for work, how to face other people in the company, how to understand thier work and also to develop thier skills in thier feilds of interest.

My experince start when the five of us are searching for the company where we can conduct our 100 hours training in thier company. We had hard time in searching for the company wherein we will conduct an OJT, because all the companies that we go through are all occupied by the other schools who also conducting OJT program and some companies are not accepting students to conduct OJT. The whole day of searching, we still don’t have the company where we can have our OJT. We decided to call it quits for the day, and continue tommorow.

In the next day we first go to the City hall of Roxas City, Capiz bringing the hope that we can conduct our OJT there. We go to the City treasurer’s office of the city hall, and we talk to Mr. Almodiente who is the City Treasurer, at first that we saw him we are all nervous that maybe he don’t want us to conduct our OJT in his office, but when we approach him he just said that “There’s no problem with him and we can start at any time that we want”. In the well of God’s grace we finally found a place where we can conduct our OJT program. I with other of my classmate conducted our OJT at city hall of roxas city, the three of us was assigned to the City tresurer’s office.

On the next day we started to conduct our Ojt program. At first we are all nervous about how the employee’s will treat us?, what are thier attitude?, and how are we going to mingle with them. those queations in mind where answered when they started to talk with us. All the employee’s in the City Treasurer’s office are all nice and funny. We started to work with our assigned job. We had a great time in working because we learned and at the same time we enjoy what we are doing. There are also times that we don’t have a work to do. We simply seat down and listen to the music, talk with the boss of the office and sometimes wait for the breaktime. There are also times that one of the employee celebrate her birthday at the office, she treat all her co-employee an ice cream and also us. On the other days of our work we ussually go out after we finish our assigned work, we bought some food for ourselve to entertain ou mouth while we don’t have work to do.

In my experience in working with the professionals help me to improve my skills, and I also learn on how to mingle with the other persons. “WE ENJOY WHAT WE ARE DOING AND AT THE SAME TIME WE ARE LEARNING”.  The training experience help us to be equip with the knowledge of how to be an employee for 100 hours of work.

Captivating-Capiz-Panitan

Captivating Capiz-PANITAN- Founded in 1621 by the malay brothers Danao and Dalhog, Panitan prides itself as one of the oldest town is Capiz. Its original settlement was at Sitio Capul-an, near the bank of lake Danao. It was only after the Spanish colonization, that it was transferred to its present location.Legends tell how the town got its name. Once of the most accepted traditions tells of a groups of Spaniard passed by a group of natives peeling off the bank of the tree presumably to be dried for firewood. Pcomo se llama el pueblo este lugar? asked the Spaniards thinking that they were asked what they were doing, they answered back without hesitations.. P A N I T A N, meaning to peel off. So, from then on.PANITAN became the official name of the village as listed by the Spanish overlords.Panitan has been led by many great men and women, since Spanish times they have molded Panitan into what it has become today.Panitan is a breathtakingly beautiful town-its sights and sounds, its people and history. Panitan truly is one of Capiz‘s prized gems. Panitan is 45 minutes away from Ivisan. And 25 minutes away from Roxas City.

Capiz town of aswang?

Is it a Fact or just a Fiction?

When we say CAPIZ, what is the first thing that comes into your mind? Aswang(super natural creature)- The origin of aswang comes from:

Western Visayas region of Capiz is the subject or focus of many aswangs, and other types of mythological creatures such as ghosts (multo), goblins, ghouls, manannagal, witches (mangkukulam), giant horse men (tikbalang) and other stories, often covered by national tabloids.

Capizis rumoured to have a number of aswangs and covens of witches Superstitious folk who believe in their existence can still be found in these parts. They typically adorn windows, rooms, etc. with garlic bulbs, holy water, etc. which supposedly repels these creatures. Aswangs have the ability to transform into other shapes as for a dog, a bat and/or a snake. The myth of the aswang is popular in the Western Visayan regions such as Capiz, Iloilo and Antique.  In the town of Capiz, Panitan, another type of aswang is believed to exist, which they refer to as the Dangga or Agitot. This type of aswangis typically funny because some say it is a handsome gay man that hunts women during the night and eats fresh blood like a vampire. But its existence cannot be properly supported by evidence.

The trademark or major feature of Aswangs which distinguish them from other Filipino mythological creatures is their propensity to replace stolen cadavers with the trunk of a banana tree carved in the cadaver’s likeness. They are also said to like to eat small children. Their favourite body parts are the liver and heart, and they are known to be viscera suckers.

How to recognize an aswang

It is said that an Aswang can be revealed, with the use of a bottle of a special oil made from coconut and mixed with certain plant stems upon which special prayers were said. When an Aswangcomes near or walks outside the house at night, the oil is supposed to boil and continue boiling until the aswang leaves the area. They are also said to abhor garlic.

Do you Believe?

There are some testimonials of other persons that they’ve encountered ASWANG in there life, but they dont have a strong evidence that aswang is existing today. It’s up to you if you are going to believe that Aswang is existing here in capiz. there also rumours that the famous town of aswang is in the PANIT-AN capiz. but I am from Panitan and for the 19 years of life that I’m staying in the said place I’ve never encounter an so called Aswang. So i believe that aswang is not existing.

Student Life

Filamer Christian College(FCC) is the place where I am studying. In this place I have many unforgetable moments that I will treasure fo the rest of my life.

Like a typical student of other schools around the world, maybe we have the same aspects of being a student. As a student, everyday is a different day, I say that because as a student of Filamer Christian College I experience different atmosphere in school. Example today is a very stressfull and problematic day, but after that day you will forget the problem is that you’ve encountered in the past. That is the life of a student. There’s also happy moments that you will encountered in school days, such as when your professor is not around , of course as a usual student you will spend your time to bond with your friends and others are going in other places…DON’T DENY IT…!!!

The life of a student is difficult but interesting, it is difficult because thier are major exams that you have t pass in oredr to get hidher grades, I know that examinations are of being a student. If it has difficulties as a student , thier also some or most of the life of student is very interesting because you can meet different kind of persons, different kinds of attitude, and differrnt kinds of personalities inside the campus, but you’ve never expected that those persons who you’ve thought that has a bad attitude is the one who has a very good heart that you will know. You will notice that the saying’ DON’T JUDGE THE BOOK BY ITS COVER” is very true, you have to know first the people or persons around you before you judge him/her. in school you can forget your problems and other things that make you think. You can forget it when you start laughing with your friends and listining to thier jokes and stories. For me STUDENT LIFE  is the thing that you will never ever forget for the rest of your LIFE…
